We will discuss metabolic dependencies of malignant stem cells and their specific interactions with the immune system. The symposium will feature speakers and posters selected from abstracts.</em><br><br><em>The HSCI Skin Program brings together local expertise and national prominence in skin stem cell biology with special emphasis on updating current, state-of-the-art knowledge. Represented are discoverers and innovators responsible for the first isolation of stem cells, for the discovery of epidermal and follicular stem cells and of dermal mesenchymal stem cells, for developing biodegradable microenvironments that promote stem cell-driven regeneration and organoids capable of growing hair, for epithelial stem cell manipulation capable of restoring vision, and for the discovery of skin cancer (melanoma) stem cells.</em></p><p>	<em>This intensive, two-day experience represents a unique opportunity to acquire insight and expertise in the role of stem cells in regenerative medicine, inflammation, and cancer. </em><br><br><em>Designed as in-person event, it seeks to bring together the local scientific community to set the stage for future collaborations. The back-to-back structure is meant to foster further interactions across the wider HSCI community.</em></p><h2 style="text-align: center;">	<a data-url="https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfjvuhC5yrv8Z2ZE5oO2CGHZ3VDUcObNqvV_QrZmMZcZuO-7A/viewform" href="https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfjvuhC5yrv8Z2ZE5oO2CGHZ3VDUcObNqvV_QrZmMZcZuO-7A/viewform" title="">RSVP HERE</a></h2><p>	 </p><p>	<u><strong>Thursday, September 15</strong></u></p><p>	9:00-9:10am<br>Welcome | HSCI Cancer Program Leaders<br><a data-url="https://hsci.harvard.edu/people/carla-f-kim-phd" href="internal:/people/carla-f-kim-phd" title="">Carla Kim, PhD</a><br>Boston Children's Hospital<br><a data-url="https://hsci.harvard.edu/people/mario-suva-md-phd" href="internal:/people/mario-suva-md-phd" title="">Mario Suva, MD, PhD</a><br>Massachusetts General Hospital</p><p>	9:10-9:55am<br><a data-url="https://bernstein.dfci.harvard.edu" href="https://bernstein.dfci.harvard.edu" title="">Bradley Bernstein, MD, PhD</a><br>Dana-Farber Cancer Institute<br><em>Modeling epigenetic lesions that cause glioma</em></p><p>	9:55-10:40am<br>Marcos Simoes-Costa, PhD<br>Boston Children's Hospital<br><em>Metabolic regulation of the neural crest epigenome</em></p><p>	10:40-10:55am | Break</p><p>	10:55-11:40am<br><a data-url="https://www.landaulab.org" href="https://www.landaulab.org" title="">Dan Landau, MD, PhD</a><br>Weill Cornell Medical College, New York Genome Center<br><em>Somatic evolution mapped with single-cell multi-omics</em></p><p>	11:40am-12:25pm | Poster Session</p><p>	12:25-1:25pm | LUNCH</p><p>	1:25-2:10pm<br><a data-url="https://www.dfhcc.harvard.edu/insider/member-detail/member/judith-agudo-phd/" href="https://www.dfhcc.harvard.edu/insider/member-detail/member/judith-agudo-phd/" title="">Judith Agudo, PhD</a><br>Dana-Farber Cancer Institute<br>Quiescent cancer stem cells evade anti-tumor immunity</p><p>	2:10-2:55pm<br><a data-url="https://www.buenrostrolab.com" href="https://www.buenrostrolab.com" title="">Jason Buenrostro, PhD</a><br>Harvard University, Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology<br><em>Single-cell Epigenomics: Gene regulation at unprecedented resolution</em></p><p>	2:55-3:10pm | Break</p><p>	3:10-3:55pm<br><a data-url="https://www.kalaanylab.org/lab-members.html" href="https://www.kalaanylab.org/lab-members.html" title="">Nada Kalaany, PhD</a><br>Boston Children's Hospital<br><em>Metabolic Dependencies in Pancreatic Cancer</em></p><p>	3:55-4:05pm<br>Thank you and Closing | Carla Kim and Mario Suva</p><p>	4:00-5:00 | Social Hour</p><p>	<u><strong>Friday, September 16</strong></u></p><p>	8:00-8:05am<br>Opening Remarks</p><p>	8:05-9:00am<br>Opening Keynote Speaker<br><a data-url="https://www.feinberg.northwestern.edu/faculty-profiles/az/profile.html?xid=15002" href="https://www.feinberg.northwestern.edu/faculty-profiles/az/profile.html?xid=15002" title="">Robert Lavker, PhD</a><br>Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine<br><em>Epithelial Stem Cells: Adventures in Dermato-ophthalmology </em></p><p>	9:00-9:45am<br><a data-url="https://koehler-lab.org" href="https://koehler-lab.org" title="">Karl Koehler, PhD</a><br>Boston Children's Hospital<br><em>Modeling Human Skin Development </em></p><p>	9:45-10:30am<br><a data-url="https://hsci.harvard.edu/people/ya-chieh-hsu-phd" href="internal:/people/ya-chieh-hsu-phd" title="">Ya-Chieh Hsu, PhD</a><br>Harvard University, Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology<br><em>Skin Deep: Stem Cells at the Nexus of the Niche, Physiology, and the External Environment </em></p><p>	10:30-10:45am | Break</p><p>	10:45-11:30am<br><a data-url="https://physiciandirectory.brighamandwomens.org/details/1219/dennis-orgill-plastic_surgery-boston" href="https://physiciandirectory.brighamandwomens.org/details/1219/dennis-orgill-plastic_surgery-boston" title="">Dennis Orgill, MD, PhD</a><br>Brigham and Women's Hospital<br><em>Skin Regeneration, from Bench to Bedside in 40 Years </em></p><p>	11:30am-12:15pm<br><a data-url="https://hsci.harvard.edu/people/george-f-murphy-md" href="internal:/people/george-f-murphy-md" title="">George F.
