**What:** Introduction to Tidyverse data wrangling and visualization workshop
**When:** Wednesday, February 24th from 1pm - 4pm
**Register at:** <https://harvard.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJwod-qtqz8pGdXk3ShWNRddxATPrbFNUVGg>

**Prerequisites:** A working knowledge of beginner R and/or attendance at the [Introduction to R workshop](https://hbctraining.github.io/Training-modules/IntroR/) last month

 **Workshop description:**

For this workshop, we will be using the Tidyverse data science packages for data munging and wrangling. We will also explore a variety of plotting methods (ggplot2), while learning how to wrangle our data to get it into an appropriate format for plotting. More details on the workshop and workshop materials can be[ found here](https://hbctraining.github.io/Training-modules/Tidyverse_ggplot2/).

This is a **free, hands-on** workshop available to **all Harvard affiliates** with **no registration** required.

 **Preparation Instructions:**

- This workshop **requires** you to have [**R**](http://lib.stat.cmu.edu/R/CRAN/) **and** [**RStudio**](https://www.rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download/#download) downloaded and installed on your computer
- Install the **tidyverse** and **RColorBrewer** R packages as detailed [here](https://hbctraining.github.io/Training-modules/Tidyverse_ggplot2/#installation-requirements)
- Download the R project directory [here](https://github.com/hbctraining/Training-modules/blob/master/data/tidyverse.zip?raw=true). Decompress and move the folder to a location on your computer where you would like to work through the materials (e.g. Desktop)

We look forward to seeing you. As always, contact us at <hbctraining@hsph.harvard.edu> with any questions.
