**Two-Day Program of the Harvard Chan Bioinformatics Core**

**Workshop Description:**  
This **2-day workshop** (10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. each day) will introduce participants to the basics of using R, a simple programming environment that enables the effective handling of data. During the 2 days, participants will learn how to use R for:  
\* exploring basic data structures   
\* inspecting and manipulating data   
\* making simple plots to visualize data   
\* making publication-quality plots with ggplot2  
  
**Cost:**   
$75 per participant (non-refundable).  
*N.B.* This workshop is a prerequisite for a free 1-day workshop on "Using R for Differential Gene Expression Analysis" on October 20th.
