#  Harvard Longwood Medical Area Rally for the March for Science

**The March for Science – Boston** is one of a number sister marches in support of scientific education and research that will be held across the United States and around the world on April 22nd, Earth Day. The March will be a non-partisan celebration of the extraordinary contributions that science has made to human health and prosperity. It will be held on Boston Common starting at 2:00 p.m.

The Longwood scientific community will be holding a rally prior to the Boston March. The rally will be held on the Harvard Medical School Quadrangle, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The rally will feature speeches by distinguished members of the Longwood scientific community, as well as patients and families whose lives have been personally affected by advances in biomedical research. At ~12:00 p.m. the rally attendees will march *en masse* to Boston Common to join the Boston March.

Attendees are encouraged to register for the rally and the march, although registration is not required… all are welcome!
