A program of the Harvard Brain Science Initiative, Harvard Stem Cell Institute and the Translational Neuroscience Center at Boston Children's Hospital.

In the era of big data, large-scale methods for neurophysiology have been relatively slow to develop. However, in recent years, with the advent of calcium imaging, voltage imaging, and new multielectrode array technology, the landscape of the field is changing. These advances have brought about scalable assays of neuronal activity and unearthed new possibilities for drug screening, precision medicine, and an improved understanding of the role of neuronal excitability in disease.
