Two Postdoctoral Positions
Two Postdoctoral Positions are available immediately at Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. Postdoctoral fellows will join a highly motivated research team focusing on the intersection of stem cell biology and diabetes research. Proposed projects include the directed differentiation of patient-specific induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells into cell types relevant to the development of autoimmune diabetes. Experimentally derived clls including hematopoietic stem cells will then be used to study T1D in the setting of xeno-transplantation in order to elucidate the underlying mechanisms leading to diabetes. Qualified candidates with a Ph.D. and expertise in diabetes research, immunology, xeno-transplantation, ES/iPS differentiation, hematopoietic stem cell biology, and molecular biology are encouraged to apply. Applications should be sent electronically to: Lisa Girard (lisa_girard@harvard.edu); attention Prof. Derrick Rossi, Harvard Medical School, 200 Longwood Ave, Boston, MA 02115.
