A scientific collaborative established to fulfill the promise of stem cell biology.
Research Technologist
The Research Lab Technologist will assist in ongoing translational studies towards the development of replacement engineered ear cartilage. These studies are part of a coordinated effort within the MGH Laboratory of Tissue Engineering and Organ Fabrication in the Center for Regenerative Medicine to address technological challenges and scale-up issues related to engineering autologous cartilage in an immunocompetent animal in a complex 3D shape from a cell source sufficient in population number to seed large volume scaffolds. These studies entail large scale cell and tissue culture, fluorescence microscopy, scaffold design and processing, molecular biology and biochemical techniques, and management of large databases required during scale-up studies.
