Research Technician
A technician position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Wolfram Goessling to study liver development and regeneration.
The laboratory is investigating the mechanisms that control induction and growth of hepatic progenitor cells using the zebrafish model system. Additionally, we examine the role of these pathways in regulating liver growth and repair following surgical or toxic injury using zebrafish and murine models. Technicians would actively participate in the characterization of several projects originating from a large-scale chemical genetic screen with demonstrated translational potential. The successful candidate must have a B.A. or B.S. (or equivalent), prior laboratory experience and an interest in biomedical research using vertebrate models. A two-year commitment to the research position is required.
