Research Fellow

Join a team of accomplished professionals at the Center for Regenerative Medicine at Massachusetts Hospital and Harvard Stem Cell Institute consisting of research programs in basic and translational biomedical sciences.

Full-time

A postdoctoral position is available to study lung stem cells and regeneration biology within the larger context of the MGH Center for Regenerative Medicine.  Projects include the cell biology of regenerating epithelial tissue (in this case the tracheal epithelium), the identification and characterization of lung stem cells, the developmental biology of human lung diseases including lung fibrosis, cancer, and Cystic Fibrosis.  In addition, we use mouse models to study embryonic lung development and human disease models.  Finally, we are interested in the differentiation of human embryonic stem cells into lung tissue. The laboratory uses the latest approach to stem cell biology and relies heavily on flow cytometry, high throughput chemical and biological screening, mouse knock-ins, and the genetic manipulation of both lung stem cells and human embryonic stem cells.  Experience in developmental and molecular biology, flow cytometry, and mouse genetics is highly desirable.
