Research Assistant (I/II)
We are seeking a full-time highly-motivated research assistant to be part of a laboratory studying adult stem cell biology, regeneration and cancer.
The successful candidate will divide his/her effort between research support and general lab management. Main responsibilities will include: assisting with maintenance of mouse colony, including genotyping of lab strains, and performing experiments with transgenic mice; assisting with routine molecular, biochemical, and cell culture experiments; provide general lab support, including the maintenance of lab stocks and supplies.
The individual will interact and collaborate closely with other scientists and will be involved in diverse research activities, including experimental design, collaborative efforts between research groups, and the verbal and written communication of science.
Basic Qualifications
Previous experience with experimental animal handling and genotyping is required.
Additional Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in life sciences preferred. One to two years related work experience (relevant course work may count towards experience). Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, strong technical and organizational skills, and attention to detail.
