This position is located within a large, multi-national, academic laboratory at Children's Hospital Boston, a pediatric teaching hospital affiliated with the Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. The laboratory is dedicated to the study of stem cell biology as it relates to development, disease processes including cancer, and the generation of novel cellular therapeutics.

  • The qualified candidate will have primary expertise in mouse embryology including the creation of chimeric animals via blastocyst injection, tetraploid complementation, pronuclear injection, in vitro embryo culture, and embryo transfer. Experience with the establishment and culture of mouse embryonic stem cells will also be of central importance as well as experience in the maintenance of laboratory mouse colonies/general lab animal care.
  • Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Master's degree in Developmental Biology, Genetics, Zoology, Biotechnology, or a closely related field with relevant lab experience.
