Research Assistant (I)
Duties And Responsibilities
Research Assistant will assist in projects on developmental and stem cell biology. Duties will include cell culture with focus on mouse and human pluripotent stem cell lines (cell passage and maintenance), viral vector production (retrovirus), routine molecular biology procedures (cloning, plasmid preps, PCR) and high-throughput assays (biological and chemical screening). The research assistant will have significant responsibilities for the management of cell culture equipment and supplies.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
Bachelors degree in life sciences and laboratory experience in molecular and cell biology. Attention to detail as well as excellent organizational and communication skills are essential.
Additional Information
This is a grant-funded term position through July 2010 with the possibility of renewal based on available funding. All formal offers will be made by FAS Human Resources.
