Postdoctoral Position
A postdoctoral research position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Trista North to study hematopoietic development and regeneration.
The laboratory is investigating the mechanisms that control induction and growth of hematopoietic stem cells using the zebrafish model system. Additionally, we examine the role of these pathways in regulating marrow proliferation, engraftment and function following irradiation or myeloablative injury using zebrafish and murine models. Currently, several projects originating from a large scale chemical genetic screens are available for study. The successful candidate must have an MD and/or PhD or equivalent and should have demonstrated experience in zebrafish genetics, developmental biology, stem cell biology, and/or a prior focus in hematopoietic development, regeneration and leukemia.
