A postdoctoral research position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Joy Wu to study the osteogenic potential of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) in an in vivo skeletal complementation model. The ability to generate iPSCs easily from patients presents exciting opportunities for modeling diseases to understand underlying pathophysiology, and to screen for potential novel therapeutic agents. Since osteoporosis is one of the most common degenerative diseases of aging and is therefore an appealing disease model for stem cell therapy, we are interested in whether iPSCs have the capacity to undergo osteogenic differentiation.

The successful candidate must have an M.D., Ph.D. or equivalent degree, and should have demonstrated experience with genetic mouse models, tissue culture, flow cytometry, and molecular cloning. Prior experience with derivation and differentiation of iPSCs is preferred. The applicant must have excellent communication and organizational skills.

To apply for this position, please submit a cover letter, CV, and contact information of 3 references to:
