Program Abstract:
The use of mesenchymal cells clinically continues to attract considerable attention and controversy. Resolving the proper role of these cells in medicine requires sound pre-clinical biology, highly targeted clinical investigation and the ability to define the basis for observed clinical effects. This session will discuss where the pre-clinical studies are currently and where select clinical trials are moving forward in our academic community. A goal of this session is to define how the HSCI community can meaningfully contribute to the further development of this field.
