The Society for Biological Engineering (SBE) and the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) are partnering for the second time to co-organize the 3^rd International Conference on Stem Cell Engineering (ICSCE) which will take place from April 29^th to May 2^nd in downtown Seattle. The event will be co-chaired by Chuck Murry (University of Washington) and Sean Palecek (University of Wisconsin).

The meeting brings together engineers, biologists, and clinicians who are working on cellular therapies in order to accelerate progress towards designing the stem cell and its environment. The eventual goal of this progress is to generate cells and tissues to advance our understanding of biology and tissue regeneration, which will lead to further development of cell-based therapies. These approaches are contributing to the development of applied efforts in stem cell biology and engineering that can combine to aid in the development of stem cell therapeutics and bioprocesses.
