3rd International Congress on Stem Cells and Tissue Formation

Date and Time: July 11, 2010 - 9:00am - July 14, 2010 - 5:00pm
Location: Dresden Germany

Organizing Committee:
Prof. Martin Bornhauser and Prof. Carsten Werner ~ The DFG-Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden
Prof. Gerhard Ehninger ~ The Collaborative Research Center  (655 Cells into Tissues)
Prof. Elisabeth Knust ~ The Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics
Prof. Carsten Werner ~ The Leibnitz Institute for Polymer Research Dresden
Prof. Albrecht Muller ~ SPP 1356 ~ Pluripotency and Cellular Reprogramming

Based on the experiences with the international congresses in 2006 and 2008, the organizers expect about 1000 scientists to attend this exciting meeting from all over the world. In 2010 the conference will focus on stem cells including their niches, reprogramming and the formation of tissues of multiple organs, such as the CNS, pancreas, skin, heart and the hematopoietic system. In addition, we will specifically address systems biology, biomaterials research (the Max Bergmann Symposium 2010 will be part of the conference, emphasizing biomaterials for stem cell engineering), clinical developments in the area of regenerative medicine and cell-based therapies.
